How to Use Your Wedding Budget Planner

Welcome! This guide will walk you through the simple steps to create, save, and manage your wedding budget using our powerful AI-powered tool.

1. Creating Your Account

To save your progress, you'll first need to create a free account. On the homepage, you will see a "Register" form.

  1. Enter your email address.
  2. Create a secure password (must be at least 8 characters).
  3. Read and agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy by ticking the checkbox.
  4. Click "Create Account". You will be automatically logged in and taken to the main tool.

2. Creating Your First Budget

Once you are logged in, you can create your first budget using the form on the left-hand side.

  1. Budget Name: Give your budget a memorable name, like "Our Summer 2026 Wedding".
  2. Total Budget: Enter the total amount you wish to spend.
  3. Guest Count: Provide an estimate of your number of guests.
  4. Location & Date: Select the region and time of year for your wedding. These factors significantly impact costs.
  5. Click "Create & Save Budget". The page will reload, and you will see a personalised budget breakdown on the right.

3. Using the Budget Table

The main table shows a suggested cost for each category based on your total budget and our research.

  1. Actual Cost: As you book suppliers, enter the real amount you've agreed to pay in the "Actual Cost" column.
  2. Difference: The "Difference" column will automatically show you if you are over or under the suggested budget for that item.
  3. Save Your Progress: Click the green "Save Actual Costs" button at any time to save the numbers you've entered.

4. Getting AI Savings Tips

Below the budget table, you can ask our AI assistant for personalised tips.

  1. Click the purple "Ask Gemini" button.
  2. The AI will analyse your budget's biggest costs and provide five actionable, UK-specific tips to help you save money.

5. Managing Your Budgets

You can create and manage multiple budgets.

  1. Loading a Budget: Use the "Load an Existing Budget" dropdown menu on the left to switch between your saved budgets.
  2. Deleting Your Account: If you wish to erase your account and all associated data, you can click the "Delete Account" link in the top-right of the header. Please note this action is permanent and cannot be undone.
